Middle Eastern Culture Community for Americans

PURPOSE: to promote understanding through educational and cultural exchange between the United States and the different countries of the Middle Eastern region. This includes Turkey, Syria, Lebanon, Egypt, Israel/Palestine, Jordan, Irak, Iran, and the countries of the Arabian Peninsula.

A HISTORY OF CULTURAL EXCHANGE: Post your opinions, your frustrations, news stories, articles, and questions regarding Middle Eastern culture and languages. It is no secret that the Middle East is currently a volatile region of debate among Americans and the Middle East is an ethnically and politically diverse region as well, but this community does not exist to host any one political opinion or affiliation. Rather, it is primarily for the exchange of ideas, however diverse, between members.

NATION AFFILIATION: This is a community made by an American for Americans. However, people of other countries around the world are more than welcome to join. You do not have to have Middle Eastern heritage to participate.
